When Raven came back to school, she was surprised when she discovered that Emata dropped out of school. And as for Olah and Anna, they never even dared to look at Raven in the eye or even come a millimeter nearer to her ever again. I don’t know what my sister did to them to make them fear me this much, but whatever she said, they were definitely not going to disturb me anymore.
Everybody started to hate them too. Somehow, even if they were their enemy, Raven still felt a twinge of sympathy for them.

At last, summer came. Usually, The Ventrem family goes to Greece for the holidays to visit the Lyndon family, a very close family friend of theirs. It was a give and take kind of thing. But curiously, Genavieve specifically ordered Raven not to go. She said that Daniel and Raven were going to Paris instead.
Although Raven felt uncomfortable in going to Paris alone with him, after much hesitation and considerations, Raven eventually agreed to it. Besides, it was her only chance to get to see Paris without any chaperone to baby-sit her. And she really does not have any choice but to accede to it. When Genavieve makes her mind up into something, not even their mom could defy it.
You may wonder, that Italy at such a close distance to Paris compared to Greece, why have they never went to Paris yet? Rita and the kids never really had the time or the dilemma to visit there. It would always be Greece, Greece and more Greece! The twins were actually getting tired of it, but they have already grown accustom to it.
"So… PARIS… here we come!"

Chapter 7

“WOW! It’s truly incredible! I can’t believe this!” Raven marveled at the beauty of Paris.
They were on the Eiffel tower, overlooking the whole city. Being up there was truly amazing. The city light’s beautified the whole place even more. It seemed so romantic, especially at night. Raven can hear the violin being played, the soft laughter, and the French people speaking their language. Paris really is the city of romance. It was just plain magnificent.
“Hey Raven; let’s take a picture as a souvenir and for our Facebook.” Daniel suggested, holding Raven's digital camera; “Yeah, sure.” she smiled. They posed a picture together.
Raven looked at the photo and admired it. “Isn’t it beautiful?” She said. All of a sudden he looked at her seriously, and leaned to her closer.
“Yes, absolutely ravishing.” He huskily whispers in her ear. Raven gulped nervously.  “I-I think… we should treasure this f-forever.” she tried changing the topic. Raven did not know why, but all of a sudden, the atmosphere instantaneously turned so serious... Raven could hardly breathe.
He came closer and pulled her closer to him. Cold sweat perspired through her. She felt so nervous. She did not know what to do. She was paralyzed in his arms. He was acting so weirdly. Raven could not stop herself from shaking.
He came closer and closer. He had this, dark look of desire in his eyes. This situation seemed to be so outlandish. And just when Raven realized he was about to kiss her, she suddenly remembered someone.

He was glaring at her. She has never seen him so furious before. He looked like he would bite her head off. But instead of getting scared, she wanted to comfort him for something Raven could not even understand.
"Why was Mr. Dream so mad with me?" but before Raven could even come any closer, he walked away.

                        *End of dreamy stance*

Raven instantly snapped from her stupor and went back to reality. Before Daniel could even come any closer, Raven pushed him away. He looked at her dubiously, wondering why she did that.
“I’m sorry Daniel. I can’t do this. I can’t let myself fall for you.” Raven mumbled lamely, trying not to look into his face, fearing she would get guiltier than she already was.
Raven was about to leave him when he suddenly held her by the wrist. She stopped and stared at him questioningly.
“Why do you always have to push me away? I’m here Raven. I’m here begging you to please like me, even just a little bit? Why can’t you give me a chance?” he inquired. Raven sighed.
“I just can’t okay? I already like someone else. Just leave me alone.” Raven retorted back, for an instant Raven saw a flash of emotion in his eyes, but then he reverted back to his old self.
She wanted to reach out to him and apologize, but she was too afraid losing control of her emotions that she decided to just run away from him, as far as possible from him.

“Is something troubling you Raven?” Mr. Dream asked her. She looked at him. He was as dashing as ever. She shook her head.
He sat beside me as she lays her head upon his shoulder.
“No…I’m fine.” She muttered. "Yes. I’m fine here with you, as long you’re with me. I’ll always be fine." She thought to herself.
“Isn’t the sunlight beautiful?” he pointed, admiring the sun.
“Yeah, absolutely.” She whispered dreamily as she gazed at his handsome face. "Absolutely!" She smiled.

                  *end of dream*

“Hey girls! Have you seen the new hot guy in our school today?” One of their classmates exclaimed.
“Ohh… the new transferee? Yeah, I sure have! He’s sooo cute!” A girl wearing a cheerleader uniform responded. And so their petty chatters continued.
But then their teacher came and told the class to settle down. He introduced their new classmate. Everyone gasped when someone familiar came in. Oh my God... How could he be so hot?
Who is that dude? I gotta have him!
Let me have a piece of him!
Yeah man, finally there is someone cute in this god forsaken school!
The class started to whisper in unison.
The guys were groaning inwardly, now there was a competition.
Their teacher made them stop. "Class, would you please settle down! Let him talk." He said in his Italian accent.
Daniel acknowledged him and then averted his attention toward his classmates. “Hello… my name is Daniel. I’m 16 years old and I’m gonna be your new classmate in class 2-2. Well, Obviously I’m a transferee here. I just want to announce to all those guys out there that has a crush or any intentions towards Raven and Genavieve, will have to go through me first. But to emphasize things, I’m Daniel! And I want to protect Raven Ventrem and be her boyfriend.” At that startling announcement, everybody broke in a scandalous chatter.
“Well, err, thanks for that… enlightening speech Daniel, everyone… keep QUIET.” Their teacher said and pointed him to sit beside Raven.
Everybody was staring at Raven. She was blushing from the very roots of her hair to the tips of her toes.
Damn. Damn. Damn. Daniel’s going to be definitely a dead meat when we get home later.
Raven tried glancing at Genavieve's seat. But she did not even try looked back at her.
Raven could literally feel every girl’s envy directed to her and every guy’s jealousy for Daniel. Raven could not wait for that day to end and wipe that grin off from that blasted man’s conceited face.

“I can’t believe you just embarrassed me right in-front of all our classmates!” Raven said furiously. Her cheeks flared with rage. If looks could only kill, he would probably be dead by now. She hid her face in her hands and groaned inwardly. "What did I do to deserve this kind of humiliation? WHY?"  She mumbled to herself.
He suddenly took her hands and stared right at her. “I wasn’t playing a prank on you, Raven. I really do like you.” He seriously told her with his deep blue eyes.
     “You’re too fast.” she protested.
“I know that, I won’t ever let you go. So if I have to be patient, then so be it.” He huskily tried convincing her.
Raven moved away from him. She wanted to fight him off. “I just can’t fall for you. I’m so sorry. You just came at the wrong time and liked the wrong person.” She told him morosely.
Chapter 6

“Hello…Raven Ventrem!” Emata taunted her. As usual, her goons were with her again. Olah and Anna was blocking Raven's way, preventing her from leaving her locker.  Everybody has left for home by now, or so she thought.
“Uh-hi?” Raven closed her locker, she turned towards them properly.
"Sei un flirt professionale sai." (You’re a professional flirt you know) Emata accused her furiously.
“What are you talking about?” Raven angrily asked her, trying to keep a reign on her anger.
“Well…just because you’re rich, beautiful and smart…doesn’t mean you own the world. It also doesn’t mean that every guy in this school likes you!” she vehemently spat at her.
“What the heck are you talking about!? Stop accusing me for something I haven’t done or said. You’re simply being rude Emata. Oh by the way, there is saliva all over your face. Wipe it away don’t you? You’re an embarrassment. I’m leaving…this isn’t even worth my time.” Raven was about to leave, but then one of her goons held Raven by her wrist so tightly it hurts.
"Come ci si sente ad essere ricchi?" (How does it feel to be rich?) Emata asked evilly. Raven did not speak. She continued; “I loathed you from the moment I have set my eyes on you! I don’t even know why everybody loves the Ventrem twins!” she pushed Raven hard on the wall.
“Raven that…Genavieve this…” she mimicked. “When deep inside you’re some conniving little wretches who mind controls the people around them!” she screamed in frustration.
“You… insecure little vermin! What the heck is the matter with you? Have you bang your head in the wall or what? If you can’t accept reality then shut the hell up! Because you don’t know us! So stop judging us!” Raven madly shouted at her pushing Emata away from her. Raven tried to leave but Emata grasped Raven's hair so painfully and pulled her back.
Emata slaps Raven hard on her face and ordered the girls to give her a good beating. Raven tried to struggle with them but they were too strong.
“After I’m done with you... I’m also going to hurt your pretty sister! So that Daniel would be all mine!” she laughed hysterically.
“NO!” Raven screamed. She did not like the idea of a snake touching even just a single strand of Genavieve's hair. Raven was so mad that suddenly a sudden burst of energy came out of her. A great gust of air knocked Emata hard on the wall.
Raven was so shocked that she wasn’t even able to talk. Did that really happened? Or I’m just in one of my ridiculous dreams? Or maybe…my mind is playing tricks on me.  She panicked.
“You little witch!” Olah screamed and beat Raven up again.
        She started hitting Raven again.
Raven tried all her might from protecting herself, but she was outnumbered.
“GENAVIEVE!!”  Raven unconsciously screamed out for plea, calling her elder sister, when suddenly, someone appeared at the end of the hallway. Raven heard a familiar voice shouting angrily at them; “You nincompoops stay away from my sister! DON’T YOU DARE TOUCH HER OR I SWEAR I’M GOING TO KILL YOU!” Genavieve screamed.
The moment that they have seen Raven's twin sister, they abruptly stop beating her in fear of being hurt by her. Genavieve was with Daniel, for the first time. And In spite of Raven's disheveled state she even has managed to smile, because Raven knew she was finally safe.
“Daniel, go carry Raven out of here. I’ll handle these pitiful hooligans.” She ordered him. Daniel obediently carried Raven on his capable arms.

Chapter 7

“Raven? Raven?” He was calling her. Raven's Mr. Dream was calling her. She blindly tried to reach out for him. “Where are you?” She mumbled.
“I’m right here beside you, my lady.” He said in his French accent. And he was right. He was there, sitting beside Raven on the huge Queen Size bed she was on. It was covered with embroidered golden curtains with a roaring fire in-front of her. Raven smiled as she saw him holding her hands.
“Are you alright now my lady?” he asked her gently, making his beautiful green eyes frown.
“Y-Yes…I’m okay. Please don’t fret over me.” Raven said in confusion. It was strange, just by listening to his voice made her feel a whole lot better.
“I was so worried. I’m glad you’re safe now.” He said in relief, as he caresses her dark brown hair.
“Sleep now, my lady.” He kissed Raven upon her forehead. She closed her eyes as she smelled his delicious fragrant. She reached out for him. But… then just like the wind, he was gone.

                      *end of dream*

Raven woke up in the arms of her sister. Genavieve smiled. “I’m glad you’re finally awake now.” She said with deep concern in her voice.
“Yeah, me too.” Raven lied. If only I could stay in my dreams forever. I would.
"Come ti senti oggi?" (How are you feeling today?) Genavieve asked.
“Bene!" (Good) Raven smiled in spite of herself.
“I swear… if they ever hurt you again, I’m really going to finish them off this time.” She said vehemently, unconsciously grasping Raven's sore hands tightly. Raven winced. "Opps, sorry sis." Genavieve apologized, she nodded.
“Genavieve, Just chill okay? I’m fine now. Let’s just forgive and forget.” Raven told her twin.
“Che cosa buona è che a me?” (What good is that to me) she growled. “Besides, that’s you Raven. You always have the patience and a forgiving heart. But I do not. Especially when they hurt you, I can’t forgive them.” She said in rage.
“That also goes for me Genavieve. But we should not lock up hatreds in our heart or else, eventually it will destroy you.” Raven informed her.
She waved her hands in dismissal, “Tsk. I know, I know. Hmm, come now. Eat your dinner.” She compassionately reminded her, feeding Raven a spoonful of chicken soup. They smiled, they looked so alike, but so different too.
“Love ya sis.” Raven teased Genavieve.
She smiled back. “Yeah me too squirt.” Genavieve ruffled Raven's hair.

He was sick for one week and Raven was the one who took care of him.  Genavieve did not even wanted to go near him, although they talked once in awhile, but he always requested for Raven, even in his sleep.
Raven was the one who stand by him. She was the one who held his hands in his every nightmare, and gradually as the days went by; they were becoming more acquainted with each other.
Raven was in is his room that night, as usual, taking care of him, sitting beside his bed, when she realized she did not even knew his name yet.
“What’s your name?” She asked him. He looked at her and ceased a frown.
“I honestly don’t know.” He seriously whispered.
She scowled. “Would you stop joking around? Just tell me something about yourself?” Raven gently instructed him.
He contemplated for a moment. After awhile, he looked at her again and sighed. “I’ve lost my memory. For months I’ve been this way, coving every trashcan for food and clothes. My shelter is just about anywhere. I don’t know who I am. I wish I do, but I just couldn't remember anything at all.” he told Raven in his British accent. His face conveyed of so much pain, that Raven wanted to hold his hand just so she could assure him that his fine now. His safe here… safe with me. Raven’s eyes lit up as she suddenly had an idea. “Hmm…since you don’t have a name, let me name you… “Daniel” is it okay with you?” She asked him.
He smiled. “Of course! Whatever you say... ” He said cheerfully. Raven noticed that it was getting late. She stood up, and was about to leave when he suddenly grasped her hand urgently. “Please…Please don’t leave me…” he begged her. She frowned.
“Nothing is going to hurt you here Daniel. You’re safe.” Raven gently assured him.
“Yes…but when the nightmares come a-again…” Daniel's face was full of torment that Raven could not help her heart involuntarily soften.
“I know that I could stand the nightmare when you’re beside me, because when I wake up, at least I know you’re here with me, watching over me. And by that, I know I’m safe here in your presence, whenever I’m with you.” He huskily explained.
Raven's gray eyes were full of warmth and compassion for Daniel. She felt sorry for him. He must have really had a traumatic experience to react this way. Raven thought to herself.
“Okay…fine. I’ll stay here beside you for awhile…but I can only spare you a few hours, and then I need to go to my own room. We still have school tomorrow, okay?” She said.
“Yes, that’s okay with me.” he smiled.

Chapter 3

When Raven woke up, her twin was right beside her, looking at her with concern.
“Do you need anything?” she asked softly and touched Raven’s hands.
“N-No, I’m fine sis! By the way, can I ask you something?” Raven looked at her.
       “Yes, sure…” Genavieve replied.
“Hmm…do you know that man?” Raven gently asked her older twin. Genavieve looked away from her, then she smiled sweetly.
“No Raven, I don’t know him at all.” She lied. Raven knew she was lying. She could always tell if her twin was trying to hide something from her.
Genavieve was her twin’s name. She’s a minute older than Raven. That was why she was more mature than her. They looked exactly alike. But the only difference they have is; Genavieve's hair was longer than Raven, while she has a short pixie hair and that their personality was totally different from each other.
Her name was Raven Ventrem, their aunt named her after a bird because she was the spirited-one. Her head was always above the clouds. While Genavieve was more artistic and also has a strong personality, when she says something, no one could argue with her, no matter what. She likes art, while Raven does not care about it at all. Genavieve is stronger and braver than she Raven was. That was also why throughout their life, Genavieve has always been defending Raven from everybody else. And even though they are like this, they love each other fiercely.
They even have this weird connection in which they could understand each other’s feeling without even speaking at all. Raven knows that she was lying to her right now.

"Genavieve, basta versare va bene? So che molto meglio di chiunque" (Genavieve, just spill it okay? I know you much better than anyone) She said in Italian. Genavieve lowered her head and then she looked at Raven with pain in her gray eyes. She was about to speak when Rita knocked at their door and ask if it was alright to come in.
“Darling…who was that man who just saved you?” Rita's brown eyes were looking at Raven curiously. At this age, even though she was already at her 40s she still looked ravishing, with her dark brown hair and brown eyes. She has this aristocratic aura that that demands respect, because of her humbleness.
Their mother was actually their aunt. According to her, their father died out of depression. They never even got to meet him. It was said that he died because of their mother’s disappearance. Before they were even born, while they we were still in their mother’s womb, she has already left him. They guess he just loved her way too much for his own good. But when they were born, they were sent away to their aunt. The twins were not angry with her. They still hope someday they would have the chance to meet their biological mother.
It was said to be that they got their intense gray eyes, eccentric complexion and beauty from their mother, while they managed to get their beautiful dark brown hair from their father. How they wish they have met them. But they were not really bitter, because they grew up in a loving home with their dear aunt to bestow them with her love, since she has never been married and does not have her own children. The Verment twins absolutely adored her as she doted on them.
“Raven? Are you still with me?” her mother called her from her thoughts.
“Hmm…yes mom. I don’t know him. Honest. He was just right there when I woke up.” Raven explained.
“Hmm…alright.” She contemplated. “By the way…where is he?” Raven curiously asked her. Rita shook her head sympathetically.
“Well, right after you left… he collapsed. And we found out that he was having a cold and a fever. I honestly pitied him.” Rita explained.
“Why is that mom?” Raven suddenly perked up as if someone jolted her with an electricity bolt at the mention of the stranger’s name.
“Well…I can’t quite explain it. It’s as if…he seems so lost.” She said dubiously, which troubled Raven. Now that he was here, things are definitely going to be more exciting.

Friday 20 January 12 03:21

Darkness was overwhelming her. She could not open her eyes, but she can hear snarling, hissings and screaming of human beings and unearthly creatures.
The girl laid there on the cold marble floor for hours. Fear utterly gripped her, but she was paralyzed. Her pulse quickened as she heard something, but she could not do anything about it. Raven wanted to scream her lungs out, but her voice failed her. She was so scared. She fervently prayed to God to save her.
Then suddenly, as though someone heard her prayers, someone, an angel walked towards her, overwhelming the surrounding with his unbelievable presence. She could not clearly see his face because there was a light emanating from him, and though she could not open her eyes properly, she made a futile effort to do so.
He stood there right in-front of her. His eyes seemed to be genuinely concern and at the same time curiously peering at her. He suddenly bent down to Raven and extended his hands to help her up.
She was lost gazing into his hypnotic green eyes. It was alluring. She could not help but be pulled into it. She badly wanted to touch his jet black silky hair, but she prevented herself to do so.
He pulled her towards him. She was in his arms. She noticed he was tall and lean in physique. She could tell his awfully strong. He suddenly smiled at her with his luscious lips, revealing his irresistible dimples and awesome cleft-chin. She felt like melting right there. Then he spoke in a sexy French accent uttering “Hi” which automatically send butterflies to her stomach.
“Ah…I-I, H-Hello…who are you?” she stammered in confusion. He once again flashed his uberly cute dimples.
“You may not know me, but I have known you for a very long time, Raven.” He said in his French accent.
“W-What do you want from me?” she said in a daze.
“I want to be more than your friend, someone indispensable to you.” He said charmingly.

                           *End of dream*

“Raven? Raven? Wake up silly!” Raven heard her sister’s voice calling her out from her slumber, trying to rouse her from her sleep.
         “Hmm…” she said in response.
“Don’t hmmm…me butthead! Come on! We’re going to be late for school!” her sister said in an impatient voice. Raven tried to take a peek at her, and smiled inwardly.
Her twin sister was standing right beside her bed, impatiently putting her hands on her hips, glaring at Raven furiously.
Raven's twin sister was wearing a scowl, to show how mad she was, which only made her laugh deep inside. She impatiently flipped back her long dark brown hair, revealing her intense gray eyes.
“Ho vogila di andare!” (I don’t feel like it) Raven groaned in her native tongue, speaking in Italian.
“Non dire sciocchezze!” (Don’t talk nonsense) my sister said in response.
“Mi sento uno shifo…” (I feel lousy) I murmured sleepily.
“That’s nonsense! Wake up Raven! Mommy’s going to be mad you know! You gotta take a shower now!” she warned, but she still did not budge. She felt so lazy. Raven wanted to go back there, in that dream.
It was quite disturbing. He has suddenly appeared again. Ever since she was a little girl, he has been visiting Raven in her dreams. And as time goes by, she felt like she could trust him. He was like her comrade. Raven guesses the reason why she has not recognized him because he has changed a lot. He looks more matured now.
Raven took her pillow and hugged it tightly, snuggling close. She buried her face in it. She can still imagine those hypnotic green eyes again. It was so beautiful. He was like an angel sent down from heaven. Sent down to me. Raven mused to herself.
“Raven Ventrem! I said wake up!” Raven's sister exclaimed. She groaned inwardly and covered herself with her pillow, when Genavieve suddenly came towards her and started tickling her like mad.
Raven howled with laughter, before she surrendered. Genavieve then stood up and proudly smiled at her, conveying with her twinkling gray eyes that she has triumphed over Raven again. Raven rolled her eyes and went to the bathroom.

Chapter 2

“Get away from me! I said get away!” Raven's scream pierced the lonely alley way of Italy. She was pinned on the gritty wall. Helpless and awfully scared, her heart pulsed thumped like mad. Her sweat rampantly poured down her face. Raven was so frightened from the two men threatening her.
They held a knife and a gun against her. She looked around, but no one was there. She screamed another deafening scream. And then suddenly someone came to her rescue. He immediately knocked out the two vulgar thieves. She could not properly see his face because it was happening way too fast for her human eyes to see. When he finished fighting, he slowly came toward her, but she suddenly collapsed.
The last thing that she remembered was a guy who had green-eyes. It was so vivid, it was hard not to recall. And then she blacked out. How she wished that she could have at least seen his face. But everything was just too hazy and dark.

When she opened her eyes, a different guy was holding her. Raven could not quite identify it yet. She was still confused. Maybe you were the man who saved me? She thought to herself. Raven was not too sure. She noticed that his eyes were like the ocean, it was very deep blue. It was mesmerizing.
“Miss? Are you alright?” he asked in a brilliant British accent. Raven touched her head to see if there was any blood, but there was none. She nodded. He then gently pulled her up. He asked her where she lived, and then hailed a cab. After giving the taxi driver her house directions they were off to her place. For a bum, he was very intelligent. Little did she know that he could be so articulate; He didn’t seem like a street person at all. He has deep blue eyes, dark skin, and tall and has dark brown hair. His looks contradicted with what he was wearing. His torn and dirty clothes didn’t suit him at all.

“Raven! Oh god! What happened to you?” her mom, Rita fretted over her. The stranger was carrying her in his arms, standing in their foyer. Fred their butler and her sister instantaneously came to her aid.
Their butler immediately took her from him and carried Raven upstairs to her room. But while she was being carried upstairs, Raven saw her sister reaction’s toward the stranger. It was as if…. she has seen a ghost and the man seems to be quite oblivious to her expression. But despite of it the man was still staring at Raven. He looked like he was sorry that Fred took her. I wonder what could have that been?
